IN DETAIL

Fybrid Technology is a start up company that are looking to change the face of material technology. Typical composite materials used in aerospace, automotive and many other markets are burdened with inherent weakness in the third dimension. This weakness makes them brittle and liable to de-lamination and breakage. Their solution to this is a new 3D fibre, with defence in all three dimensions, allowing for further application in our world. They seek funding to make this incredible technology a reality. That’s where we step in.

The aim was to show a visual representation of the hybrid material, its defence against delamination and its real world application. We felt that 3D animation was the best approach to represent the subject as it strongly boasts it’s third dimension defence.

Initially, Hibbert Harwood crafted a quick animation to demonstrate our ideas and style for the video. Once the client approved this, we began to build on this structure and developed a story.

The fast turnaround for the project challenged us to utilize our time management and work to a tight deadline. One of the difficulties that this faced us with was the render times. However, with some tweaks of the settings and textures, we managed to get it down to a reasonable time whilst retaining its high quality.

The project was an excellent way to demonstrate our 3D animation capabilities. The final result was well received by the client and successfully demonstrated the need for Fybrid Technology.
